I originally thought I would probably not feel compelled to further update my review. Now I have been through the whole patient process and my overall impression has improved further. In all honesty, I feel the health professionals I saw and talked to at BPBH were some of the best, most competent health professionals I've had the privilege of meeting with and feeling that way I couldn't leave the review at 4 stars. If you are in need of any of their services, it's worth contacting them. It might be smart to be ready to be proactive in communication with them to avoid intake issues, but I don't believe that is likely to be an issue in the same way for other prospective patients going forward. Original Update 4/5 stars: BPBH reached out to address issues with intake, communication and difficulties present during the original new patient interactions. They were very considerate, seemed genuinely concerned about the suboptimal experience up until that point, and appear to be committed to improving. I've updated the review to 4 stars of 5 because mistakes and complications can happen in any setting, and instead it's how things have been handled that is most relevant. BPBH handled the issues promptly after being made aware of the situation - in admittedly better form and fashion than I had then expected. The individual that helped resolve the situation demonstrated understanding, compassion and a desire to do what possible to remedy the situation and make sure a prospective patient could still receive treatment if needed. I think there may be areas for improvement to better serve their patients through the intake process, but BPBH - through word and action - seems to agree and sincerely wish to improve in that regard. Through the handling of this situation it is clear that, despite hiccups, Bright Pine Behavioral Health is committed to their patients. Thanks to the people of Bright Pine Behavioral Health for understanding, and responding with courtesy and professionalism.

Dr Kat and her team are amazing. They are not only compassionate but collaborative with other disciplines. I am an Occupational Therapist and Dr. Kat has been so helpful bridging the gap with insurance waits for Autism Diagnosis to help families get insurance coverage for therapies but also providing exceptional resources to help families and clinicians through the process. She also is a huge advocate for helping children running Toys For Tots, helping families who do not have access/financial means to services with recommendations, and working with families to build that foundational relationship to help children grow. She helps remap the fear responses of the brain (amygdala) to support the communication (temporal), reasoning/processing (frontal lobe) areas literally remapping the brain for children to live life to the fullest and give families the resources and support to help their children.
