Dr. Sally Askar-Cieslak completed her PhD in School Psychology at Michigan State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at University of Dayton. She completed her APA-accredited internship at Michigan Medicine in the division of Pediatric Psychology. During her internship she worked within an integrated behavioral health model and collaborated with medical professionals, teachers, and parents to provide the best care for children and adolescents.

She is passionate about working with children and adolescents with a variety of mental health concerns including internalizing and externalizing disorders such as anxiety, depression, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

She has co-authored four published book chapters related to ADHD and childhood anxiety disorders. She uses evidence-based interventions during her therapy sessions and especially understands the importance and value of working collaboratively with individuals and their families to enhance treatment outcomes. She also has experience providing behavioral health and psychological evaluations with a particular interest in academic testing for school, ADHD evaluations, and autism evaluations.

Dr. Askar-Cieslak enjoys traveling to any place with warm weather, spending time with her husband, and being a new mom to her daughter.
