It is never too late to begin a new chapter of your life. To some, therapy may seem scary and overwhelming; but it doesn’t have to be.
Sara is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She specializes in co-occurring disorders, substance abuse, and anxiety and mood disorders.
Her goal is to assist and empower clients to find their own best solutions and increase coping skills and resiliency. She strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment while supporting you through your personal journey.
Sara works with adolescents, teenagers, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, stress, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, and anger.
She also has experience working with LGBTQ issues. Sara uses a person-centered approach, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
Sara incorporates strength-based techniques that focus on reinforcing what is working well, as well as exploring what could be improved to help make the changes that support treatment goals.
She is also certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy; an experiential therapy model that uses interactive exercises with horses to increase emotional growth, self-efficacy, and awareness of behavioral and communication patterns
