Dr. Lewitzke received her neuropsychological assessment training under multiple board certified and board eligible psychologists. She has also completed various courses through the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
As a doctor of psychology, she has experience with individuals affected by: anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, learning & academic struggles, memory, interpersonal issues, trauma, loss, chronic pain, brain injuries, and more.
When working with clients, Dr. Lewitzke takes a systems and strength-based approach to understanding and designing treatment plans. She specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy and client-centered techniques; which has been shown to be effective for anxiety, depression, and many other behavioral problems.
Dr. Lewitzke is a compassionate clinician who will advocate for you and your family members. She understands the importance of finding eminent care and is dedicated to providing quality and empathetic services in an intimate setting.
In November of 2018, Dr. Kat Lewitzke has been appointed as a board member for the Michigan Association of Gifted Children (MAGC). This organization provides resources to help parents and educators improve the lives of Michigan’s advanced and accelerated children. Dr. Lewitzke specializes in evaluating gifted children, and is passionate about guiding and helping parents with their child’s development.
