Alyssa Sacka completed her has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology. While in college, she worked as a behavioral technician for children and teens diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. She completed her master’s practicum at a site that focused on crisis management and comprehensive emergency assessments. 

In practice, Alyssa works with individuals, couples, and families. Treatment is unique for each client and is determined by their own goals and needs. In therapy she utilizes a client-centered approach to promote a genuine, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment to work through patient struggles. Alyssa’s theoretical orientation is eclectic; with a mix of humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral theory. She specializes in providing testing and therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. Alyssa works with a wide range of issues; including autism, ADHD, learning issues, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, developmental disorders, trauma, and interpersonal relationship concerns. 

As a psychometrist, she began her assessment training in graduate school. From there she interned at Woodland Correctional Facility where she attended treatment team meetings, co-facilitated groups, and assisted with research; as well as became familiar with the evaluations of the prisoners and the received treatment. Alyssa trained under Dr. Lewitzke to further enhance her assessment skills, and has completed autism training through Western Psychological Services (WPS); a well-known leading independent publisher of educational and psychological assessments for autism and sensory processing measures. 

Alyssa also took part in several research groups in graduate school, and her interests include political influences, LGBTQ, personality factors, and childhood experiences.
